Adoption Fees for Dogs
Adopt a dog from the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society and get all these:
Our adoption fee for adult dogs includes all the above services for just $375 (a value of more than $570.) For Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes, and dogs who have been at the Adoption Center for more than four weeks, and those dogs who may be harder to place (medical issues, behavioral challenges, etc.), the adoption fee is $175. For puppies, our $450 adoption fee also includes a two week puppy class at no cost.
Every Dakin dog adopter is encouraged to register for our training classes held either in Springfield or Hadley. All Dakin adopters receive a $25 discount on their first six-week training classes. Dakin also provides behavioral support for the lifetime of your adopted dog.
